“Our goal is to pack the Union with students and provide them with opportunities to meet new people, have fun, and win some awesome prizes,” Jackie Fulop, coordinator for campus programming in student activities said.

TU After Hours is one of the biggest events of the Spring semester, with games, activities, prizes and food all at no cost to the students.

“This event has been in the planning stages for months, and we have been working hard to come up with the very best events and activities that students will enjoy,” Fulop said.

Some traditional events such as CAB’s Exotic Animal Show, will be present at the event but there will be new activities available to students as well.

“Headphone Disco, Rockstar Karaoke, Airbrush Art and a Gladiator Joust are just a few of the new activities students can expect to see,” Fulop said. “There will also be great music, caricatures, a balloon artist, a palm reader and more.”

Throughout the night, students can also snack on soft pretzels and glow in the dark cotton candy. They can also take part in the Fractured Prune Doughnuts taste testing activity sponsored by New Student Programs.

“This is my first year working at Towson, and therefore my first TU After Hours,” Fulop said. “I am excited simply to experience the event as it comes together, and see all the students participating in what we have planned for them.”

Other departments and organizations on campus such as Greek Life, Study Abroad, Housing and Residence Life, Athletics, Campus Recreational Services, Civic Engagement and Leadership, Center for Student Diversity and the University Store, have also helped contribute to this year’s festivities.

“TU After Hours is an important event to host every year because it has become a tradition for our campus and our students,” Fulop said. “It is important that we provide a fun and entertaining event to kick-off the semester for our students and let them know that we are excited to have them back on campus.”
