
Towson places 18th at NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional

Towson competed and finished 18th in a field of 32 teams in the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional meet hosted by Penn State Friday.
Junior runner Hannah Walter was the Tigers’ fastest runner and placed 93rd with a time of 22:32. Right behind Walter was junior runner Allison Marella who placed 95th with a time of 22:34.
Senior runner Megan Knoblock placed 97th with a time of 22:37, while freshman runner Erica Israel placed 105th with a time of 22:42.
Junior runner Colleen Cook placed 119th with a time of 22:57, while fellow junior runner Emily Johnson placed 125th with a time of 23:01.
Sophomore Abby Gauthier was the final Tiger competitor to finish. Gauthier placed 148th with a time of 23:43.
Walter, Knoblock, Cook and Johnson all recorded their fastest career times for an NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional meet.
Following Friday’s meet, Towson has now concluded its 2016 cross country season. The team will be back in action for indoor track and field Dec. 1 at the Navy Lid Lifter.
