
Fall Guide: spooky and thankful events happening on TU’s campus

The Great Pumpkin Smash, Oct. 23, 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. at Tiger Plaza: For a $5 donation students can get rid of mid-semester stress by smashing their provided pumpkin to bits. Pumpkins available for reservation now.
Party to the Polls, Oct. 24, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the University Union room 329: Learn more about the U.S. electoral system on the first day of early voting in general elections.
Sober October Trick or Treat Halloween Party, Oct. 27, 3 p.m. – 6 p.m. at the Health & Counseling Center Front Lawn: Closing out Sober October is a fun, outdoor Trick or Treating party where students can play games at different tables to get candy. There will be cider, snacks, pumpkin carving and decorating, lawn games and opportunities to win prizes.
Haunted History: Maryland’s Witches and Ghosts, Oct. 29, 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. in the University Union: Learn about Maryland ghosts, folklore and its history with witches. Jennifer Liles, Meg Fielding and Amanda Hughes will tell tales about resident ghosts and creepy statues.
HallowQueer, Oct. 29, 7 p.m. – 10 p.m. at the University Union Ballroom A: The Queer Student Union is throwing a Halloween costume party with catered food, dancing, music and party games.
Volunteering at First Fruits Farm, Nov. 2, 9 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. at First Fruits Farm 20431 Middletown Road, Freeland: Join TU alumni to harvest produce that’ll be given to local food banks, homeless shelters, soup kitchens and other food providers up and down the East Coast this holiday season. Volunteers should register and fill out a liability waiver beforehand.
A Cappella Spooktacular, Nov. 2, 7:30 p.m. at Recital Hall, CA 3066: Off Track Presents their first ever ghostly performance night featuring Purrrfect Pitch, Original Blend and UNTITLED A Cappella. Audience members can show up in their costumes to possibly win a prize.
Friendsgiving SpIn Hour, Nov. 15, 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. at ADS Testing Center in Cook Library: The ADS Testing Center has been transformed into a neuro affirming space for food, crafts and sharing about passions.
Friendsgiving, Nov. 20, 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. at PAWS: Healthy and Diverse Minds is holding a friendsgiving with food, pumpkin decorating and carving, a photo booth and discussions on communication styles.
