Bibibop Asian Grill to join Local Restaurant Row after Connie’s Chicken

Local Restaurant Row continues to be a staple in the University Union with Connie’s Chicken and Waffles currently in the space until Sept. 20.
Two other restaurants have been confirmed for the fall semester. Bibibop Asian Grill, which serves Asian inspired salads and bowls, will be at the union from Sept. 23 to Nov. 4. Meanwhile, Chaia Tacos will be served from Nov. 7 to 18, with an unconventional menu that gives vegetables the spotlight, Robert Eversole, the Director of Sustainability & Wellbeing at Aramark, told The Towerlight in an email.
Since last year Restaurant Row has offered new dining options on a constant rotation, typically every two weeks.
Chatime was the first to be at Restaurant Row this semester, the Taiwanese tea house chain sold a limited menu of bubble tea and Vietnamese food from Pho Bac. This was Chatime’s third semester participating in Restaurant Row.
Owner of Chatime Jenni Lau says the reason for her third return to Local Restaurant Row is because of the loyal customers she has.
“They love the convenience,” Lau said. “They can enjoy our products before and after class.”
Local Restaurant Row creates an opportunity for students to get something different to eat without having to go off campus. Payment options include set Tiger Meals, Doc dollars and dining dollars.
Aramark is continuing to add new restaurants to Local Restaurant Row’s line-up for the coming year, according to Eversole.
