Towson University announces partnership with Baltimore Ravens
By Kylie Jones, Deputy Sports Editor
Towson University and the Baltimore Ravens unveiled plans for a new, multi-faceted partnership designed to strengthen the connection between Baltimore’s largest university and the city’s premier NFL franchise early last week.
Towson will be featured in various ways, including a dedicated kiosk on RavensWalk, the main pathway into M&T Bank Stadium.
“The Ravens actually approached us back in the winter time,” Sean Welsh, vice president of University Marketing and Communications, said. “Obviously for us it was an exciting proposition to partner with the Baltimore Ravens. They are the NFL team right in our backyard and it made a lot of sense for us to partner up.”
Towson also announced an expanded gameday presence through the partnership, with the university set to be featured in the Ravens’ Gameday Publication, radio broadcasts, in-stadium signage and concourse commercials.
In addition to gameday visibility, Towson will also gain exposure across the Ravens digital and social media platforms.
“The Ravens offer a market for us and an audience for us that is appealing,” Welsh said. “As a university on the rise, and one that is experiencing a lot of momentum and a lot of positives right now, to leverage that with the audience that comes with a premier NFL team is an exciting thing for TU.”
Beyond visibility, another aspect of the collaboration emphasizes student engagement. Set to launch in Spring 2026, Towson students will have the opportunity to participate in a hands-on case study program with the Ravens. The program will invite students across different majors to participate, offering learning opportunities in sports, business and media.
“This will be an experience for the students and the cohort that works with the Ravens that we hope translates to career opportunities,” Welsh said. “This really is a unique opportunity that is truly exclusive to TU.”
