Baltimore County Police arrest and name TU shooting suspect

The Baltimore County Police Department has revealed the TU shooting suspect to be 19-year-old Samuel Nnam.

Nnam has been charged with attempted first-degree murder, first-degree assault, second-degree assault and carrying a loaded handgun and a firearm to commit a violent crime.

Nnam was arrested on Sept. 7 and was one of the three people receiving medical care for a gunshot related injury.

“Based on evidence collected at the scene and surveillance video, Nnam began to discharge the firearm he was carrying striking himself and two others; one of the injured a TU student,” BPD announced.

Nnam is currently being held at the County Detention Center without bail.
