Monumental Sports Network to partner with TU and University of Richmond

Monumental Sports Network, also known as the home for all DMV-area college football broadcasts, announced their new partnership with University of Richmond and Towson University on Thursday, Aug. 20.  

Monumental Sports Network is the exclusive local television media rights holder for the NBA’s Washington Wizards, NHL’s Washington Capitals and the WNBA’s Washington Mystics. 

“While we’re best-known for our outstanding Capitals, Wizards and Mystics coverage, Monumental Sports Network strives to provide a major league quality platform for a wide range of local teams and a variety of sports, building a strong sense of community across this region and united in the power of sports,” said Friday Abernethy, General Manager, Monumental Sports Network. “With nearly 20 college football games on our air, it’s going to be an action-packed fall on our network, and we are excited for kick off.” 

Monumental Sports Network will begin coverage starting Sept. 1 when Virgina Union takes on Kentucky State. All Towson games will be streamed live. 

Fans can stream unlimited college football after paying a TV subscription, visiting www. monumentalsportsnetwork.com, or downloading the Monumental Sports Network app on iOS, Android, Apple TV, Roku and Amazon Fire TV and using an eligible TV Everywhere login.  

As part of the partnership with Towson, MNMT will also air two Women’s Volleyball games on the network during the upcoming season: Friday, Oct. 4 vs. North Carolina A&T at 3 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 3 vs. Northeastern 2 p.m.
