Tigers take second at Navy

Towson women’s golf placed second overall out of nine teams in the Navy Spring Invitational at the Naval Academy Golf Club. The team finished the tournament shooting a 324.
Senior Alix Lowe finished fifth overall after carding a five-over 77 and posting a two-round score of 160. This performance marked Lowe’s fifth top-five finish this season, continuing a strong final campaign for the team.
Freshman Sarah Perine and Junior Jenny Buchanan also finished among the top 20 individuals. Perine tied for 13th overall after shooting a six-over 78 while Buchanan tied at 17th overall after shooting an 82.
Senior Alexis Hois and freshman Emma Sutton finished the tournament tied for 24th with a two-round total of 169.
Despite the cold and windy conditions, the team remained vigilant and is locked in on the final tournament to close out the season.
Towson looks to build upon this strong showing in the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Championships at the St. James Plantation in Southport (N.C.).
The 54-hole championship course begins on Friday.
